11 Weeks: Kentucky Muscle
[Sigh] I'm stressing out. Not like I'm worrying 24/7... but I find myself all over the place this week. For Northern KY, at 11 Weeks Out, I was actually starting to feel lighter. Right now, at 11 Weeks Out from KY Muscle, I know I am lighter than last week, but I just have more ground to cover this time around. I also have a lot more on my plate. For the last show, I was working only 30 hours at the office and training a handful of clients a week. (So, in addition to my OWN training, I was jumping in with my client workouts.) For this show, I'm sitting at a desk 40 hours a week, plus 5-10 hours of overtime on the couch at home.
Regardless, I've been dieting/training for competition already for 5 weeks and I've lost 16 pounds. I now have 10-11 weeks to lose another 30 to be exactly where I want to be for stage. Worst case scenario, in my book, is that I only lose 25 pounds and come in similar to where I was the last show. Then I have another 4 months to get to my ideal by Northern KY in March. THEN I'm maintaining my weight, plus or minus 8-10 pounds, year round. I know I can't control what happens in the future - with my back, my knee, etc - but it's just too hard to hold all of that weight on my frame and it's even harder to get it off after every injury. All I can hope for is that, here on out, I keep improving, regardless of what happens... whether it's 11 weeks, 11 days or 11 years from now.
